Point to Point Tickets
If you have a specific journey to make between 2 selected stations, then a point to point ticket is right for you! One of the great features of a point to point ticket is there are no restrictions as to the day, time or train so you have the flexibility to change your itinerary as you please. And the best part is stopovers are allowed en route so you can hop on and off the train as often as you wish in the direction of your destination.
Seat Reservations
If you have a BritRail Pass or a point to point ticket, then you can make seat reservations per person, per train for a nominal fee. Although reserving a seat is not required, it is recommended if you want peace of mind and an assured a seat on a specific train. Perhaps you have a plane to catch and don’t want to chance it or you want to travel during rush hour and don’t want to stand among the crowd.
Caledonian Sleeper Services
Ride overnight aboard a Caledonian Sleeper between London Euston and cities in Scotland and arrive the following morning in the heart of the Highlands or in the centre of the city. Save the cost of a night's hotel and sleep in comfort on the move.
The Caledonian Sleeper can be purchased as a supplemental Berth reservation and used with a BritRail pass or can be purchased "Travel Inclusive" where no further supplements are required.
About the sleeper
- Cabins
Single and Twin berth cabins are available, each equipped with everything you need for a relaxing night’s sleep... a comfortable bed with blankets and fresh cotton sheets; air-conditioning and bedside lighting which can be controlled at the touch of a button; wash basin with shaver point and soft hand towel. All berths are non smoking. - Single berth cabins
First Class single berth cabins offer an air-conditioned private and peaceful area for a comfortable night’s sleep. A steward is available to serve you light snacks from our room service selection or you may wish to visit the on-board Lounge Car. In the morning, you will be woken with a light breakfast accompanied by tea or coffee and a complimentary newspaper. A complimentary toilet pack is also provided. - Twin berth cabins
Travel Standard Class in a twin berth, air-conditioned cabin, with complimentary toiletry pack and early morning wake up call with a hot tea/coffee and morning snack. Single travellers may have to share with someone of the same sex. - Station lounges
London Euston First Class customers, on production of their tickets, may use the Virgin Trains Lounge, accessible from the main concourse where they can enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee before boarding the Caledonian Sleeper. Persons under the age of 14 years are not allowed to use the Lounge facilities. Standard Class customers may use the Network Rail Passenger Lounge situated on the main concourse. At Inverness the customer Lounge is accessible via the Travel Centre. - Sleeper Lounge Car
The Sleeper Lounge Car is available and offers a full menu including a wide range of single malts and hot options including Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. There is an ambient setting making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a nightcap before retiring to your berth. At busy times, use of the Lounge Car may be restricted to First Class ticket holders only.
